Parents with Kindergarteners or Newly Enrolled Students Parents should not re-sign up to receive emails sent via HCPSS News. You can view your emergency procedure card information for correctness in HCPSS Connect. Utilizing contact information submitted through the Emergency Card process, parents and guardians automatically will receive messages from the district and their child’s school. Parents/guardians of HCPSS students do not need to sign up for, or manage an HCPSS News account. HCPSS News is powered by SchoolMessenger, a notification service provider. If subscribers do not want to receive text messages, then they do not have to opt in. ![]() To comply with wireless carrier requirements new subscribers of HCPSS News will receive a text message from SchoolMessenger that will allow them to opt into receiving text alerts. Using email and text alerts, HCPSS News keeps parents/guardians, staff, and community members up to date on news and events, and delivers real-time information on bus schedule changes, weather-related closings and emergency information. Please note! Unsubscribing from any school or district email or text will unsubscribe a user from all messaging, including emergency notifications. Please contact your child’s school if you have questions regarding your information in HCPSS Connect. If you are unsure if you have already opted in, text the word “YES” to 67587 from the cell phone number on file in HCPSS Connect. Standard data fees and text messaging rates may apply based on your mobile plan. Subscription information comes directly from the Family File information parents/guardians complete in the HCPSS Connect system.
